Why is no text found in my PDF?
Scanned documents and photos saved as PDF contain pictures of text, not text itself. This tool reads the text layer only; it doesn't do OCR (text recognition). The tool tells you which pages have no text.
Does it keep columns and layout?
Text comes out line by line in reading order, which works well for normal documents. Multi-column layouts may interleave columns. For tables, PDF to CSV or PDF to Excel do a better job.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs as code in your browser tab and processes the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site's security policy blocks the page from sending data to any other website. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while the tool runs, and you'll see no upload.
