How are headings detected?
From font size. Text noticeably larger than the body text becomes a heading, with the largest size as the top level. Bullet and numbered lines become lists, aligned columns become tables, and repeated headers, footers and page numbers are removed.
How accurate is it?
Best effort. Reports, articles and manuals with a clear structure convert well. Complex layouts, multi-column pages and scanned documents don't, so review the result.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs as code in your browser tab and processes the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site's security policy blocks the page from sending data to any other website. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while the tool runs, and you'll see no upload.
