PDF Toolkit

Terms of use

Last updated October 10, 2026

By using PDF Toolkit you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

The service

PDF Toolkit provides free tools that process files in your web browser. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.

Your files and your responsibility

  • You must have the right to use, modify and convert the files you open with these tools. This includes removing passwords with Unlock PDF: only unlock files you own or are authorised to unlock.
  • Don't use the tools for anything illegal, including infringing copyright or forging documents.
  • Signatures added with Sign PDF are visual marks, not certificate-based digital signatures. Whether they are legally valid for your purpose depends on your jurisdiction and the document.
  • Keep your original files. Tools create new files and never change your originals, but check every result before relying on it.

Third-party services

AI Summarize PDF uses the AI model built into Google Chrome. Chrome provides that model under Google's terms, and AI summaries can be wrong.

No warranty

The tools are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Conversions such as PDF to Excel, Markdown or Word are best-effort and may not be accurate. We don't guarantee the site will always be available or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, including lost or corrupted data. Because files are processed on your device, we have no copy of them and cannot recover them.

Open-source software

The tools are built on open-source libraries, each under its own licence. The credits list them.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
