How accurate is PDF to Word?
It recovers the text and structure (headings, paragraphs, lists and tables) as an editable document. The exact layout, fonts and images aren't reproduced. Best effort, and best on text-based documents.
Why are PowerPoint slides pictures?
Rebuilding editable slides from a PDF isn't reliable in a browser, so each page becomes a picture on its own slide. It looks identical, and you can add text on top.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Images and PowerPoint work, since they copy the page's appearance. Word, Excel and HTML need a text layer, which scans don't have.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs as code in your browser tab and processes the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site's security policy blocks the page from sending data to any other website. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while the tool runs, and you'll see no upload.
