Questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The AI model runs in your browser, and the security settings keep the part of the page that handles your photo from reaching the internet. The only download is the model itself (42 MB, from Hugging Face), the first time you use the tool. Your browser keeps it, so later uses work offline.
What photos work best?
A clear subject (a person, product, pet or object) against a background that contrasts with it. Fine hair, glass and similar colours on both sides of an edge are harder.
Why is it slower than some websites?
Those send your photo to their servers. Here the model runs on your own device, which takes a few seconds on a laptop and longer on a phone, but your photo stays private.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs as code in your browser tab and processes the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site's security policy blocks the page from sending data to any other website. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while the tool runs, and you'll see no upload.
