Questions
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG can't store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default).
Why convert PNG to JPG?
Photos saved as PNG are often several times larger than the same photo as JPG. For photos, JPG at 85-90% quality looks the same and is much smaller. Keep PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with sharp text.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs as code in your browser tab and processes the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site's security policy blocks the page from sending data to any other website. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while the tool runs, and you'll see no upload.
