Questions
What kinds of damage can it fix?
Most common problems: files cut short by an interrupted download, broken internal indexes from badly written software, and wrong stream lengths. It reads every object it can still find, even when the file's internal index is missing or wrong, and writes a fresh, correctly structured file.
Can it recover missing pages?
Only if their content is still somewhere in the file. Data that was never saved, or was cut off, can't be brought back. The tool tells you how many pages it recovered.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs as code in your browser tab and processes the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site's security policy blocks the page from sending data to any other website. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while the tool runs, and you'll see no upload.
