Questions
Does it handle emoji and non-English text?
Yes. Text is encoded as UTF-8 first, so any language and emoji round-trip correctly.
What is URL-safe Base64?
A variant that uses - and _ instead of + and /, and drops the = padding, so it can go in URLs and file names. Decoding accepts both kinds.
Can I decode a data: URL?
Yes. Paste it into Base64 to File and the tool works out the file type for the download.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs as code in your browser tab and processes the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and the site's security policy blocks the page from sending data to any other website. You can check: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while the tool runs, and you'll see no upload.
